Thanks Bruce, actually just took the 3" chrome risers off the bars this week and replaced them with a 2" set in BLACK from Drag Specialties this week. Now the comfort factor on the Apes is perfect. The new risers really measure out at 1.5" and are closer to the OEM height that was there.
Hey all, lot's of nice bikes, i'm working on mine... I'm looking to get the wild 1, 14" blackout apes with 1.5" risers. Has anyone gone this route already? If so, i'm looking for cable lengths to get. Don't feel like going to the dealership to get them to measure me up figured someone has to have done it already with that setup or a similar one.

The Apes on mine are HCC 14" I bought it as a kit, prewired and cables included. I neglected to measure the cables before I had the install completed.
Anyway 2 suggestions scope out HCC site http://www.hillcountrycustomcycles.c...bles-P138.aspx (pics of my kit but I bought black) and see if you can find cable lengths there. Or call them I'm sure they would be happy to tell you what the measurements are on the kit. They were VERY helpfull for me.

Beeble - I think we're on the same page for upgrades. But I'm about to put the pipes on and I'm worried the 2-2's will be overly loud. Don't want any tickets. How's the sound? I mean if you're not in an area that tickets for noise...great! But sadly...I am. Just wondering if I shoudl get the BSS (which allows for Quiet Baffles) or the 2-2?
