I am trying to decide between the VH short shots or the Big Radius 2-1. Which pipe is louder ?I want good sound but not too obnoxious. Any issues with decel pop on the short shots ?
I am leaning towards the short shots, I like the clean lines but am still intrigued by the performance gains of the 2-1 Big Radius.
Short duals will be louder, but have a higher pitched "tinny" sound, the 2-1 will have a lower "rumbly" sound.
2-1 will be better for performance due to the pulse/scavenging effect.
Nice descriptive articulation, so I'll ask you: What kind of relative sound will I get with the V&H 2 into 2 radius? I want deep, lower, rumbly sound. Loud is good, but not so bad as to constantly get hassled. If there was a trade off, I'd take the deep, lower, rumbly sound over the loud.
And what about performance and the decel thing?
Thanks.

James, I have V&H 2 into 2's. Installed QBL-1845 baffles from Big City Thunder, then cut the V&H stock baffles to fit sug up behind the BCT's. The sound is very low and throaty, plenty loud enough, nice and loud when you're on the gas, and just a great sound when you're cruising and you won't need ear plugs. I think they are perfect.
Bought my fat boy low right before july 4th. Put 2000 miles on it, just installed v&h BBS, PCV, Sissy bar, swingarm bag, levers, and some other things 2 weeks ago. Last saturday on my way to work a guy in a 99 bmw 325 crashed into me from behind on purpose and wrecked my dream bike.
do i take the insurance money and fix it or get rid of it and work on getting a fresh one? sux i had a million miles and manyu years planned for this, my first brand new anything. Always had to get used cars and bikes. Fianlly get my dream bike and now its wrecked.

Take him to the cleaners and make him make you whole. Whatever that takes. Sorry to hear that.
yea i work at a bike shop. so i'm thinking of rolling the bike back out hooked up to the ***** thanx to this guy's ins money and my hook up. Just hope i dont feel like i ride a lame horse from that day on. his bumper came all the way to my back. and then after the police stopped my window kicking rage, he backed the car up and the bike fell over and i returned to kicking out his driver window. he did this on purpose and i end up screwed and he gets to drive away with just a ticket for "following to close to another vehicle"
