Ask your indy if he'll mount tires he doesn't sell. If he doesn't see if he sells them, but you'll pay a little more (well more than a little) than you can find them on-line. HD doesn't carry them last time I checked.
If your indy will, pm me and I'll tell you where I bought mine at a great price and they arrived on my doorstep the next day for 5 bucks shipping.
Great prices, fast & FREE shipping to my door (in 2 days)
The local HD dealer mounts & balances for $40 if you take the wheels off the bike (local indy shop charges the same) and they don't care where you get your tires.
Thanks guys... I'll be asking this weekend when I get some free time.

Took a 1 inch flat bar just to try and got the tire to move off the bead about 1/8 inch so I installed a plastic shim into the space and went all the way around the rim, next thing I knew it popped off the bead and I removed the tire using the plastic shims as a protector under the screw driver. Replaced both tires and installed dyna beads. got about 700mi on the new Michelins so far.
Although it would give me an excuse to buy more tools, I'm not sure I want to tackle this one on my own. I'll look into this more before I pay someone to do it though. You make it sound pretty easy. Thanks!
This is where I just bought my tires, showed up fast and free shipping, it was actually the cheapest I found for the tires I bought, after 1 k I love them feels like a COMPLETLY new bike
They were cheaper then Denis Kirk and Motorcycle super store
as a new H-d owner (2 weeks) I've been wearing a Half Helmet and I was wondering what sunglasses you guys wear
I've been told I should invest in ballistic eye wear, is it really necessary ?
I would think you want something that is shatter proof. Depends on what style of eye wear you like. Some folk like to have foam padding inside to keep wind out ans some don't. I still wear Ray Ban Wayfarers and KD's originals from Pacific Coast eye ware. It's all personal preference.
Total black out? Then engine covers, primary, etc needs attention imo. First step though is whatever u can wrench yourself, take in for PC and see how it looks before going forward. Careful though...it may look like a big blob of matte if u go all out. Some contrast maybe needed to save some lines. If you like denim black...get rid of the black gloss. One thing that annoyed me about the Lo when I first got her was that they have denim black, brushed alum, gloss black and chrome thrown in one bag. Obviously a convenient HD cataloge special without overhauling the HD product line to please. My only beef about the Lo...feels incomplete as stock in respect to flow. Aftermarkets must love that
Dude did u pc your freeway bars? I'm gonna put those on mine. Your bike looks ****.
I recently purchased a custom 2010 lo and have read through the first 100 post and my head is already spinning with ideas. Can't wait to get through the other 600 plus post. Lol...
