JC FXDWG...which shop in SoCal are you using? How do you like their work/prices? Nice ride by the way!
Thank you! Road Dog customs in Santa Fe springs, I think they're prices are reasonable and the work they do is great. Dealer wanted to take my eyes out for all the work I'm getting done.
i think i've read somewhere in this thread that there's either a paint or a plasti-dip or something that matches, i think Krylon makes something.. But now that denim is becoming more popular i've read in places that if you take a flat black paint, then hit it with a flat clear coat, it creates the same color.. if you've got a spare piece of metal laying around and want to experiment or something
I used Plasti-dip on my nacelle behind the headlight bucket. It is a shade lighter than Denim. Plasti-dip is cool stuff since you can just peel it off and their is no prep work. I might paint my lower forks with it untill I get some parts ready for powdercoat.

Thanks Smokey, that's what I was looking for. I did a search and some say it is a perfect match and other say it's off a little. Maybe it depends on if the denim paint is faded or not. When the time comes I'll give it a try.

This could be another option. I would rather get it powdercoated, but if this matches better, I could just rattle can it.

sadjf;aklsdjf still no word on getting my heads back yet.. found out my Arlen Ness air cleaner backplate was cracked, so i ordered a new one of those in black. yeay. Can't find my stock gas tank front bolt, don't remember where I put it..(the one with the tank lift kit is like 1/2"-1" longer, so can't use that one) and i'm removing the tank lift because i want my gasoline back. Which reminds me.. does anyone have their tank off that has easy access to their front tank bolt to tell me how long it is?
Oh, and if anyone wants a 1.5" tank lift kit (it's basically just 2 little S bracket things and a longer tank bolt), let me know. you're on your own for getting a longer fuel-crossover line though, because i cut mine to get the tank off without spilling everywhere.
Supposed to be really nice weather here this weekend too. Oh well.
