Think I might try that after adding the highway lights and relocation of flashers. Looks good on your bike though man.

Welcome 2013SGJK!!

Any questions you might need answered or advise on something feel free to ask man. A lot of people in here with a lot of knowledge and experience with the LO.
I too have a 2011 FBLo and think you made a good choice.
Not that I am bias or anything

Griff if you try to flip your mirrors with stock bars, your going to smack your gas tank with them.

So, over the weekend, I sold my V&H Big Radius 2-2 pipes to a fellow forum member.

Placed order with Fuel Moto for the V&H Pro Pipe.

BACKORDERED until at least May 30th. They said V&H is way behind on the production of the Pro Pipe for 2012-2013 softails.

I figured the Pro-pipe was a pretty common pipe and would be in stock. Now i cant ride.

1. While I'm on the Brake trip, is ABS all its cracked up to be?
2. Is the ride on the baggers/touring bikes really different?
3. Am I looking at this crazy?
1) I've heard from people who swear by the ABS, and I've heard from a guy with an Ultra Limited that was lit up like a christmas tree who told me he was going down hill, they hit the brakes on a slightly wet road coming to a stop sign, ABS kicked in but didn't stop the bike and he ended up in the middle of the intersection. Soo.. Idk. I've locked up my rear several times, but never really my front brake.

2) Touring bikes you ride on, Softails you ride In.. it's a different ride, but I've only been on my friends 2002 Electra Glide Standard.. didn't think much of it really..I liked the radio.

3) I plan on keeping my bike for a long while, so I upgraded my power with the 107" kit with B heads.. only have like 200 miles on it so far, but I'm definitely happy with it.. hopefully I got my leaks to stop. haha.

And I agree.. take the heatshields and have them ceramic coated, or powder coated (which supposedly will hold up under the heat, but i haven't tried it myself) black. It'll probably cost you about $100-120 or so. There's a forum sponsor that does powercoating, and their stuff is really good.

Wow Jim I got your reply as my post erred out.. nice..

I'm liking my bike dirty. so im thinking im safe sticking it out..

Since there seems to be so many who don't ride their bikes but a couple miles a year.. is there any guestamates on how many miles a typical engine will last? You think with the 107 that would negatively impact that at all?

do you notice if your running any hotter or cooler now?

Fat comfy seat? No need heh...conisder the C&C bud. Way more comfortable than stock and get to keep a bit of low profile for style. Or are ya thinking a nice big Mustang pillow haha?
Jose, I actually need a seat that will move me forward about 2 inches so I can hit my slammers without crouching on long rides.... Does the C&C still let you use the passenger pillion?

In case you are not aware, the new style 200mm C&C solo can come with the backrest....plus still can use the detachables that need to fender nuts (slides under t-bracket). The seat is not up on their site yet. I ordered the old style and ended up with the new style....glad they screwed up haha.

Anyways heres a pic of the new style with backrest...

Hope this helps.
