Question wiring up some apes question

i have 13" carlini gangster apes headed my way this week to finish my '07 deluxe. questions are what wiring lengths should i use, where is a good place to get the kits, and how complicated is the internal wiring (do i need a different throttle mechanism)? etc. etc.
thanks in advance

Are you asking about the wiring for the switch housing or the cables, or both? I can get you all you need. Since the Carlini's run about 1" taller than the actual height of the bars according to them, +6" or +8" should do for your cabling. For the wiring we suggest the novello wiring harness extension as it is color coded and all you need to do is plug it in, solder it if you are ****, and pull it through the bars. Call Shawn at the shop and he can set you straight on everything. Drew

A couple of suggestions i can give you after installing my apes this winter is that you can probally run your wires through the bars then attach wire kit. My stock wire harness made it through 17 in carlini street fighters, I also recommend cutting and soldering then heat shrinking all wires for strenth and rust prevention. But its your call. Good luck and enjoy your apes

I just ordered my stuff from Dr. Vtwin and they did me right. I would go +8. I had +6 on my 12.5s and they fit great, but if the carlinis run an inch long then you will be looking at 1.5" taller than my bars. So I would go +8. Good luck.
