Default fuel mileage question

What kind of fuel mileage can I expect on a 2002 Heritage Classic with Stage 1?

My 06 has averaged between 38 and 42 since it was new. Even when I installed 510G cams, the difference in my mileage was negligible. The best I ever got was right at 50mpg and the worst was in the high 20's.

I have a carb on my FLSTSC.It is stage one with some carb mods so it would not be too lean.It started out at 52 mpg,it is now at about 42 but runs great.

I have an 07 Heritage with stage one, SEST and Rinehart 2 into 2 and getting 36 -38 (not happy with that) combined, but I do live in colorado and a majority of my riding is at a elevation of .6000 and 7500. My previous ride was a stock 02 heritage and I was getting 46-50 consistantly.
