Default Elite 3 Tire

Time to start shopping for a new rear tire. Will a 160 Elite 3 fit on the back of my '09' Heritage? Hope the milage is better than the OEM tire.

I put an E-3 dunlop on my 07 FLSTC last year , hoping to get better mileage than the originals , 5000 miles later and doesn't appear its going to do much better. I do mostly two-up riding and some pretty long hauls 3-4 thousand miles at a time, gets frustrating when you have 5 K on a tire and getting ready to go on vacation and you have to replace the tire before you go cause there's no way its gonna make the 3-4 K trip. I hate having to stop and buy a tire in the middle of a trip. Oh well at least I'm riding , just didn't have any thing else to b$tch about.

Nice thoughts though. I just finished an 1100 mile ride to the Outer Banks of NC and I'm getting down there at 5200 miles. Original tire. Thought I'd try the E3 since Gold Wing riders seem to think a lot of it. Bridgestone's Splitfire was one of the best tires I've ever had. Need to see if it's still available too. Thanks.

Know lots of folks on other forums as well who love the E 3s. Gonna give them a try myself next time around.
