Just got back the ride, finally! shop had a hard time matching the paint but after spraying it twice they figured out Harley's magic pain mix...ha.
The wait was worth it, and although fender is finished, it still needs pinstriping. I stuck with the original flames, cause I like them, however, went a bit thicker to cover the real estate ontop of the fender. Fender can hold max weight of 300 lbs...and is reinforced with steel belts on the inside, making total thickness of fender 1/2". P-Pegs are mounted high to accomodate the bag and also give a retro look, bolts were hand milled. Allure LED lights added and of course rank insignia on gas cap (I did that complicated task).
Sweet looking ride, apes keep looking better and better. Just might have to do that one day. So your a Marine, were are you station at in VA? I'm at Fort Belvoir, Army though.
