Here's a slightly different angle. I really like mine. Built-in footrests are a little high for my taste (I'm 5'11"), but not too bad - I love the look.

a great combination on my FLSTC.

I just got these for my '09 Fat Boy. I have some bad knees so these are very nice for stretching out my legs when they start hurting in one position. I am going to get some other pegs to put on as well, so I have yet another position to put my legs in. About the only thing I don't like about the mustache guard is the because of how it's shaped, your legs end up being pretty much right up against the fuel tank. Also, because of where your right foot sits on there, you have to be careful about keeping the heel of your boot off of the brake pedal. I love these pegs you have on here....gotta find me some of those.

I have the HD regular engine gaurd on my heritage but, have been considering buying the Kuryakyn ergo gaurd. I have not seen one on a softail but saw a picture in Bagger magazine on a Road King. I think it would look good on a heritage.

I think you'll like the Lindby Multi-bar. I looked at several Mustache bars and settled on this one, I think it looked the best on my Heritage. Found it on the net of course, $226 with free shipping & no tax.

I looked at them,,,, but IMO they just don't match the looks of the Heritage...
At 6'1'' they are still tooooo far to really use them as foot pegs..
I bought the Nostalgic ones (which match the look of the Heritage) and though I don't have FP's as I just strech out on the boards when needed.

Doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose? Or are you thinking of taking those off and putting some foot pegs on there somewhere? Seems like without the rubber your feet would tend to fall off the bar, at highway speeds anyway.

There is nothing under the rubber except nice chrome. I know this because when cleaning one day. I noticed the right side rubber was loose. I gave a little pull, and off it came in my hand. A couple strips of super glue and it is back on better than new.

I use the guard all the time to stretch out. I am 5'10" and 250, and really like the mustache bar on my Heritage. Vey strong and comfortable for long rides. I highly recommend this bar for a place to rest, looks, and all. Just watch that rubber, keep an eye on them, if they get loose, just a little super glue and you are ready to go, or just remove them for the chrome look.
