it would take a judge and a lawyer to void your warranty.

+1 - That is my thought exactly. I wanted to know if someone had run into anything other than a hard time for doing these upgrades.

Thanks,

Dan

the only hard time i ever heard of was when out of town and need a covered repair at another dealer they pushed back unless the mod was done at a dealer and then the dealers support each other. maybe someone used a metric crescent wrench instead of SAE

I asked the dealer ( not the one I got the bike from) if it would VOID anything. I was told that if it was related to the breakdown it might but probably would not. I also asked if there was a way to hook up a computer and see what was added or removed and so on and I got a big smile. I worked as a coroner for 10 years and know that if there is a accident the computer on some cars can tell when breaks were applied and so on. I do not know if HD can look at the info on the computer and see that there was no info for the last few years/months/days if you were to replug the stock stuff.
I am still going to do the upgrades myself on the new bike and go from there. I can't see paying a dealer 4 hours time to add pipes and an air cleaner. Just my 2 cents

I did pipes, SE intake, and PCIII (w/canned map from FM) when mine was 6mos old. The motor has never skipped a beat since. Got a free dyno recently from a local dealer and the hp/tq numbers were about what you would expect with my mods. Labor is pretty straight forward, but the PCIII was a major PITA to install.

It seems to depend on how much of an A-hole your dealer is. Personally I love the TTS and it has the added benefit of not adding any extra parts to the bike, so no dealer would ever find out you used it unless they hooked up a computer to your ECM and read the codes.
