I really didn't have that bad of a time with mine and I was on a 100 mile round trip. Unless you have a full face on, wind is going to creep in at highway speeds. Also, the right size is the most important thing, a helmet should be snug.
Thanks for the heads up man, I bought one of their German shorty helmets (non-DOT) a couple years ago and had considered trying one of their DOT helmets as well.
They have over 922 sales on ebay, I wonder if it is just the one model group that brought them down? I see they no longer have lids up for auction on Ebay.
Sh*t, I just went down to try on my CarbonFiberHelmets German Shorty I bought from them, non-DOT and still looks like crap, they put the ear holes in uneven so it pulls on the one ear, and there sitting beside it was one of their DOT EXT-002 helmets sitting beside it. Forgot I even bought it because I was so unhappy with it when it showed up. Guess it will be going back to the manufacturer for a nice full refund.
Just bought a Daytona DOT half helmet and it's about the lightest (approx 25 oz) and smallest DOT helmet out there. And they have documentation to back up the DOT approval.
