Go to the dealer, and pick up their kits. They have a "Wash Kit" and a "Detailing Kit"

I got the whole sha-bang. There is a great Wash Bucket/Caddy/Seat. All 3 together make for a great day of washing.

If you read the individual items that come in the kits (Sun wash, Bug remover, Scratch remover, Wax, Polish, Detailer) They actualy all work in a system together, and they work GREAT!!

I know I know, Im pushing somthing from the dealership... But i have to say, it beats anything from Canadian tire Iv ever used (Other then Mothers or Meguiers Products).

Don't use dishwashing liquid. Go to wallyworld and get a good car wash soap. Get some micro fiber cloths to wash with and you can use these for polishing too.

A long handle toilet brush will work fine on the wheels, and 409 and a nylon brush will get your tires clean.

Don't use high pressure for rinsing. Low pressure with the water hose will do just fine.

For drying I use a leaf blower followed by touching up with more micro fiber cloths.

Finally, a short ride for a final drying.

One thing that always helps get a bike clean is a hot chick in a bikini

If you have an open a/c cover it with a plastic bag. Never have had an issue with water on the plugs. You might want to check out the detailing section. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/detailing-27/

I use Harley-DavidsonŽ SunwashŽ Concentrate, or a car soap that doesn't leave H2O spots, rinse using my garden house but at a reduced pressure. Just crack open the fawcet slightly, do NOT use a pressure washer, keep away from the plugs a wires as best as you can.

I then dry my Rocker using a Harley-DavidsonŽ HOG Blaster Motorcycle Dryer, then I go for a ride.
