2008 Night Train - Part 2 - Inspection?
So after all of your advice I am pretty well decided on the Train. I'm headed out to see it tomorrow night and if all goes well I'll be a proud owner by the weekend.
The guy (small dealer of cars, campers and motorcycles) I'm buying from got it directly from Harley Davidson Financial and he apparently has all the documentation, certifications and inspections. He says HD financial uses an independent service provider to ensure everything is AOK such that they don't get people coming back to them; it was "graded" a 4 on 5 with only 2600 miles.
I guess my biggest fear is that it could be an accident repair job although he claims it can't be due to all of this paperwork and certifications/inspections. Is there anything I should be paying particular attention to when giving it the once-over? Anything I should look for that might give an indicator that its been beaten or dropped? Should I have it inspected by my local HD dealer just to be sure?
