I think the reason Hartland is the only game in town is because they designed up a bolt on strutless fender solution. Now if you had tabs welded to your frame and could then use struts, then you(us) would have more options.
what's up brother. i've been following your progress as well. check with Dr. Vtwin, see what pricing he can give you. 2500 is a lot, but you know you'll get the look you want and the parts are top notch quality.
i would try to look around and see what kind of pricing i can get on the kit, but that price sounds about right
Yes, and the issue I'm running into is I either a) buy a kit that requires a massive amount of fabrication, etc. or... I get a kit like the heartland which is designed specifically for my bike and it bolts right up. It's almost 6 or 1 half a dozen of the other...
Yep, the Heartland kit is high as giraffe pu$$y BUT there really isn't another option that looks as good and is as easy. $2500 isn't out of line depending what is included.. If that includes the kit, prefitment, paint and installation then I say it's reasonable..
I guess the choice comes down to whether you need/want the 2up option that Heartland can provide. The RSD kit isn't 1/2 the price though.. Struts/fender runs right at $1k and the seat option (solo or sprung) runs another $300 plus you still have to address the lower splash guards or keep using the plastic ones.. You can get the Heartland kit for a few hundy more from Dr V

the rsd tracker fender and struts retail for $599. spring seat is also 599. but your right if you want 2up you have to go heartland.
