I like most of the Vance and Hines Pipes. They sound awsome and look fantastic. I have the Big Shot Staggered and also like the Big Shot Longs and Longshots. Take a look at V&H for a pipe that will produce great HP and TQ gains and dress up your bike.
V&H offers the Fuelpak that you can install yourself for about $213 to set your EFI fuel/air mix. This will save you quite a bit of bucks over the price stated at your local dealer. The SE air cleaner is only $139 or less and its an easy install. Save youself a lot of money and do it yourself. My cost through Eastern Performance Cycle was about $600 less that my local dealer.
I would say it all depends a on the look and sound your looking for. I put on my pipes for a look and specifically put on the Mufflers because I wanted a less then deafing sound. My Husband has V & H Longshots on his Honda VTX (no Baffles) and you can't hear my pipes when he is next to me.
Best suggestion would be to show up to a few local chapter meetings whether you join or not, a local rally, or maybe even hang out a a local dealer for a while and take a look/listen to the bikes. Most folks will be glad to talk about thier bikes/pipes (there are those exceptions). That will help you decide on a direction
staggered V&H with quiet baffles, buuuuuuuut; If I had it to do all over again I would have gone with dual fishtails for the looks. They look classy to me-------but they would have to have the finish of my V&H because the finish is great.......stage 1 with PCIII
