The ones from Phat say chrome plated, not sure how those would do the test of time with discoloring (blue?). After going through the summer the aluminum have discolored nicely. I would get the tubing from Whitney if I was going to replace the flex.
Chevypilot; they sound perfect for me. Louder and deeper than stock but not obnoxious unless you get on it. The price is on the site. I really enjoy the looks on the Deluxe. They are the first thing anyone who looks at the bike mentions.
I say go with the jcwhitney ones, u can even adapt it for true duals since they come in variouse lenghts... hell... u could put them on a crossover for the touring bikes!
