Going by NADA on a bike like this is difficult because of ts limited run #'s and the inability to tell how many are still on the road.
Right now bike sales and values are in the toilet but I would rather have a Bad Boy in 10 years than a mass produced over sold bike. Consider the collect-ability the feeling of riding a bike not everybody and their brother has or could have.
If they both have the original tins go for the cleaner & lower miles (common sense).

Since the 97 has the stock tins Id go for that and put the BadBoy fender back on. The orange one is out. This is one model that I'd want to look close to stock as far as tins and paint go.
