Default 2006 harley nighttrain

i have a 2006 night train efi model when i bought it, there were aftermarket pipes on it but i get told today at the local stealer that i need to buy a 600 dollar controller and have it dyno'd for like another 250 is this true and if so is there a more cost efficent/cheap way to fix his issue

Do a search on here. Loads of info on this. If it's just pipes and no A/C you don't need any thing. If it's pipes and an A/C you'll need some type of fuel management. If it's running good you may already have the download done.
