2006 flhri backfire
Hello All Again,
I have a 2006 FLHRI. I bought it a few weeks ago. It was an 88 bored out to a 96. It has after market pipes (hookers). When I decelerate with the clutch out the bike sounds like it is popping corn and growling. Sometimes when I accelerat in 1st or 2nd I both hear and feel a backfire com from the engine (not from the pipes).
Any ideas here?

do you have a tuner on the bike? If not you might consider one. If you do have one, it may need some adjusting. If you need one I suggest the PC III. It sounds like you may be a little lean on decel.
