After reading many threads on here about jacks I canned the yellow Harbor Freight. I said screw it and ordered the J&S with the oilpan adapter. I never felt comfotable when my bike was on old yeller'. A freind of mine has a J&S and he can climb on it fully raised and it's solid. Oh, and he weighs over 300 lbs. I can't wait to get! This forum is great, and the more I read the more I spend. Go figure.
The J$S folks are also tops when it comes to warranty.
You will discover some folks have had their hydraulic cylinder fail....that part is made in China like the cylinders on every jack I know of....but J&S will ship you a new one instantly and for free if it happens to yours...AND you can swap the cylinder even if the bike is on the jack.
So, I'm going to suggest that once you get your new jack(no matter who makes it) that you first flush the jack cylinder with new fluid several times to remove grit/fragments from the manufacturing process that will eventually cause it to fail..
