Default Tranny oil !

I just serviced my 09 Heritage and I switched the weight in the tranny from Amsoil Severe Gear 75W-90 to Amsoil Severe Gear 75W-140 and all I can say is wow I mean double wow what a big difference it has made in the shifting and I even noticed how much more smoother it goes down the road! There is no more clunking when changing gears . I also switched oil filters from k&n to this one . Never should have to buy another oil filter !

I've been using the RedLine Shock Proof Heavy and been pleased with it. I'll try the Amsoil next and see if there is a difference.

This could not have com up at a better time. I am looking at changing all 3 oils for the first time myself(engine, primary, and tranny).

I called the dealer today just to get some info (first mistake right?) on the oil types I should use. I have been running synthetic since new. I wanted to know if there is any difference between the 3 oils, or is it the same oil across the board. Basically, is there primary oil, which is different from engine oil, etc etc. He said for synthetic...there is NO difference. But I just couldnt imagine running 75-140 in the engine and primary. My shift clunking is bad, so I will try this Amsoil Gear oil, but to me it shouldnt be used for engine and primary right? And if so, what Amsoil (or other brand) would you recommend?

Sorry to taker it slightly off topic there....
