Just pulled the trigger on some custom apes! I have an '07 heritage with Samson Longtails. I was going back and forth on what type of bars I wanted. From beachbars to apes, and brand to brand. I decided on a set of custom apes from BR Custom Cycles called, "Swingers". The pic is the swinger style raw @ 16". I ordered them chromed with 17" rise, 34" grip to grip, and 6" pb. Bill quoted me 5-6 weeks to be on the safe side. That's a long time for me to wait, but worth every minute I'm sure.
Now that I look at my front end there is a lot of chroming to do so the bars will fit in. I have to get a chrome clutch bracket and master cylinder kit, risers, smooth chrome fork cover (or freight train nacelle), chrome levers (kuryakyn), and chrome lower fork sliders. If anyone knows of any quality aftermarket products matching these descriptions, let me know. It's looking like $1K just in non-handlebar accessories. GD! That hurts just thinking about it. Any assistance is appreciated. Ride safe.
Nash makes a "Stupid Grit" that is similar but only 1". I called Nash and they said they couldn't bend a 1.25" bar like this. I had to have the larger diameter and curves for my build. Nash was close, and their bars are killer! Great look you got.
