Yep, so you should do at least 10 over everywhere you go!

I'm kidding of course, don't want it on me that you got a bunch of tickets lol, it should read accurately regardless it just doesnt register anything below 10 mph, if worried about it pace a friends bike or car and see if your speedos are within a couple mph of each other

Depends on where you are (or where you bought the bike) in some countries the speedometer is reading "errornously" to prevent people from braking speed limits, ie when it reads 100mph, your are acutally doing less, to make up for the in-accuracy of the speedometers.

Try it out with a GPS system and see how much you are off...

At 0 - 10 MPH the Speedometer will read 10 MPH. From 11- 120 MPH it will read the actual speed +/- any inaccuracy, plus any error due the the parallax of the viewing angle.

-OR-

The next time you find a Radar Speed Trap . . . Turn around and then come through the Radar Trap at an indicated 100 MPH. Use the Officers actual reading (That will be written on your Speeding Ticket) to calculate the percentage of error on your speedometer.

ok I used my GPS at 30mph the GPS said 25mph or less, I just went around town it was stormy and cloudy. I plan on doing it again on a sunny day and at higher speeds. Is there anything ya can do it get it right on at speeds? so GPS and speedo is the same?
