Default Leak on top of rocker cover

Just got back from work (15 mile ride) pulled in garage and looked at engine and saw some fluid build up on top of rocker cover. It wasn't dripping, it was just enough to notice. It was around 1 of the bolts (if you have service manual it is pg 3-16, rear rocker cover box, bolt # 4) I have 5,500 miles on my bike. Just got the 5K service done a couple of weeks ago. I wiped it off and will be looking for any more fluid alittle later.
Should I just tighten it down when it cools off? Or should I bring it in to the dealer? Want to make sure it is nothing major.

Thanks alot!

Yup, like Tbroenick said. It's not that bid of a deal but it is an '06. Bet the service department trys to say that it's normal. Mine weeps a little also but it has 34,000 miles on it, and mostly after I run it fairly hard.

re-torque the bolt and check the torque on the others. Check oil level and ride it and look and see if it is still leaking. If it is take it to the dealer. bolt could have come loose from your ride or was miss troqued.

Ah....Another leaky rocker box story!!!!

Check mine: Rocker Box Leaks

I've probably seen a dozen posts on hdforums from people with similar problems, but since your's is on a new bike I'd definitely take it back to the dealer. This is a warranty issue, and they will cover it. When my FLHS was new in 93, the front rocker box started to leak after about 3000 miles, dealer fixed it and it didn't leak again....Until: check my post.

Probably (hopefully that is) what happened in your case is the seal under the washer is leaking. Might be due to the fastner loosening up, but either way...It's a warranty issue. Don't worry too much about your oil level, if it was leaking enough to drop the level your jeans would be soaked. Mine seeps oil all over the place, but doesn't affect the level dramatically. A little oil can make a huge mess.
