Hey guys, I have a 2008 x-bones and I'm about to have to change the throttle cables for the third time. The black sheath is cracking right at the tank? Dealer says not normal, but doesn't no why they are cracking. Any ideas?
I just had to have one changed on Tuesday for the same thing. They covered it under warranty. We will see how this one holds up. The cover is thin and cheap, reminds me of old 10-speed cables!
I have an 08 as well and I know at least one of mine is cracked right at the tank. Didn't know they replaced them for that since it doesn't affect how they work. I'm going to take mine up to the dealer see if they give me new one.

my guess is harley figures most of us change these items anyway so why make them last..i get it but they should last more than 2 years..
