Introduced myself in the new members and hoping i am doing this right if not i apologize.
I read the posts from rail on changing a rocker dash and he outlined the parts but i can't identify the dash housing itself can anyone help me,
I like what he did and would like to duplicate it on mine
Thank You
Yep you'll need a deuce dash and a different gauge I think the rocker gauge is smaller. Both can be found on ebay. Heres one has a gold dash insert but it can be removed.
71439-00 => console
67223-00 => speedo gasket
68894-04 => speedo clamp
68893-00 => indicator lamp bezel
71464-00 => rubber trim on console (you'll need 2, one for each side)
there's also a braket that holds the console to the frame near the seat, but ain't got the #....you'll also need a new speedo...
these part # are for a 2005 deuce efi but surely fit later years cause tank it's the same shape....
lots of $$ if you buy new....my advice is to be patient and wait for a good deal on ebay...the link posted is a good deal, the console alone new is $200...again patience pays off, i've seen the the console for $50 - $75 on ebay (but not speedo or indicator lights)...
if you want new parts go to a dealer have them show you the parts diagram for a 07 deuce, then you'll see all that's needed...remember you'll have to get a new ignition switch a re-route it's cables unless you modify the deuce console to cover the round hole...
