Default hd metal teardrop tool box

I just installed one of these on my fatboy lo in black, I like the old school look. Anybody else have one of these? really can't take it off since the mounting bracket is metal, with any metal to metal contact I would assume the black strut cover would be scuffed under there. I like the looks...I haven't scene any other bikes in my area with one mounted. My dealer said I was the first black one bought. Good for small things like sunglasses, papers, cell phones and handguns! It's mounted on the left side (primary) and covers a blank spot anyway. At first I put the peg extension but it looked way out of place, the peg sticks out way to far. I took it off and just turned the peg so it now sits flush under the box when not out. now it swings out sideways instead of up and down. Looks much better. I'm new to this game but I'm told these were installed on the pan heads and such.....

I have one I use for tools, mine is a chrome one though.

You really can keep a bunch of tools in it if you use the bag that goes with the tool box. Plus the bag keeps things from rattling around.

I installed the chrome ones on both sides. Nice place to carry too many tools.

It's funny. When I look at it in the catalog or at the dealer, it doesn't make me want one. Seeing these pictures puts the box in a much brighter light. Especially the black one.

I have chrome toolboxes on both sides of my FatBoy. Handy storage for small items.
