Default Re routing clutch cable

I just put HD 4 inch pb/risers on my 09 fatboy. I need to change the clutch cable from behind the bars to in front of bars so as not to rub on tank. Can someone explain how to do this? Thanks for your replys.

What you need is a manual. You'll need to remove your transmission cover, depending on your exhaust you might have to remove it too. keep the bike on the kickstand, you wont loose much fluid when the tranny cover comes off. Collapse the cable all the way, unhook the cable from the ramps, then unthread it from the tranny cover. then away you go. Search for a guy named mojo jones. He did a good right up with pictures.

Unless I'm misunderstanding what he wants to do, wouldn't it be easier to slack the cable, pull the pin on the lever and remove it, reposition the cable then reinstall?

EDIT: Nevermind. Sounds like he's putting on a whole new cable. Thought it was on already and just needed rerouted.
