Default Need a Bullet Proof Final Drive Belt!!!

I have a 2003 FLSTF with a 106 C.I. S&S Stroker, it makes about 105 H.P. I have broken three final drive belts in 4,000 miles. They have all got their proper adjustments after break in time/miles, the first was a stock replacement, Panther, and the last a Gates. It has a Barnett clutch... I need someone to give me some real "this is what I run" type information. I am sick of replacing this damn belt... Someone has to make a belt that will hold this horse power...

Thanks
Jake

I have it done at a shop and it doesn"t rub or make noise, I am only assuming that it is aligned correctly but I would hope that it is... I just need to know if there is a bullet proof replacment to use? All the trouble shooting has been done by the time the third belt was put on there...

Thanks

I know you're not happy but it sure sounds awesome to say you have so much power you snap drive belts.

Something seems to be amiss here... I had a 107" dyno'd at 106hp and 119ft.lbs. and rode the **** out of it. Never once snapped a belt.
Check:
Alignment
Pulley damage
Do you live on a gravel road or travel on one frequently?
Are your buddies ****ing with you?

It's your alignment.

You have another issue besides the belts being defective. The clutch would blow out or the chain or belt to the rear tire would break before a final drive belt will break if you had to much power in the engine.

If I had it to do all over I would have left it stock!... Could the torque of the of the frame cause it to become un-aligned when you are gassing it? I have heard told that when I am driving away and am getting on it, the bike looks like it is pushing it's self a little sideways. To answer the gravel road question, yes, I live down about 1/8 or less of well maintained gravel, but the belt is a clean rip across, if there is such a thing. It is when I am gassing it is when it lets go... Thanks for the link... It will be after the summer before I make the conversion. Let me ask you this, after I change the belt to a chain what else am going to have to replace, it seems like something has to be able to "give", will it be the compensator?

Thanks
Jake
