Check out the wild1 handlebar site for specs on all stock bars. The figures on there for the Heritage bars in particular are a bit deceiving. As I recall they say the pb is something like 13".
Yeah, maybe if you pull the bars back to your lap. Up in the "normal" position aligned with the forks you're going to have only 7" or so. The Deluxe bars have about 10" of pb not counting the 2" pb of the risers.
If you're thinking of putting new bars on your bike I'd go with 1-1/4" bars with internal wiring. Nicer looking bars and better selection.
In the process of putting wild1 518s (RKII) bars on the wife's Deluxe. She said the 16.5" total pb is perfect for her. Better be because once they go on they aren't coming off.
Thanks all, didn't find any information on the HD site however Wild1 who just so happens to sell handle bars has a chart for OEM Harley bars measurements if anyone is interested.

I've got these same bars on order for my wife's Deluxe as well. She sat on a bike over at the dealer and was very impressed with them. She just needed a few more inches of pullback to be happy and these were perfect. Let me know how easy they are to install when you get them?

Will do. Yeah, we did tons of research before finally settling on the 518s. Never actually found them on another Deluxe like you did though. She wanted to maintain the Deluxe look so apes were out. We knew she needed about 4" more pb and the 518s fit the bill better than anything else we checked out.
Went step by step through service manual and bike teardown went well. Getting the Molex connectors dismantled was a tedious process but I finally got the knack of it. Actually the hardest part so far was measuring for new cables and wires. Wanted to get the right length w/o going too long so I measured and remeasured. I'll pm you in a week or so and let you know if I got the measurements right or not
