Hot shifter issues.
When it's hot outside (90deg. F) or on a dya 85 or so if i'm parked on blacktop, my shifter starts to bind up. I've cleaned it out at the forward control boss for the shift pedal. But, it seems to be binding at the arm going to the transmission. It only happens when it hot. If I am parked in the sun on blacktop, it will stop after I ride for a few miles and it cools down. On 90degree days once it starts it's like that all day. Any ideas guys?
Is it the linkage or could it be the transmission?
I am assuming you have checked the trans fluid what does it look like?
I am also assuming that it has been changed on a regular basis....
Just throwing out ideas... I have never had or heard of this happening...

Trans fluid level is good and it looks good. I just broke 5000 miles and it was changed at the first service. I'm thinking the problem is at the trans but I may change the linkage to one with heim joints just to rule it out.
