I have shiney bright FB wheels, but I spin sanded and buffed them myself to get that way.

To keep aluminum shiney like chrome (mine look chrome-like) Flitz metal polish works best and I've tried them all. Flitz also leaves an invisible coating thats protects also.

I also use Boeshield T-9 as a protectant (developed by Boeing for aircraft skins)

My wheels take very minimum maintenance to keep bright.

Not positive, but I thought the wheels were actually clearcoated.. I may be totally wrong.. but if so, can't use anything too harsh on them as it will kill the clearcoat, and aluminum loves to corrode. I've just been using good ole S100 and seems to do a fairly decent job. I s100 the whole bike, then fairly warm water and soap.. over bike and wheels. Sofar so good, but yeah the wheels are hard to get to. If you're really diligent, you can roll the bike a couple feet to hit the whole wheel. It was as much a pain to clean the chrome fatty wheels on the old scoot. What you use doesn't make it any easier to do a good job on them.. but I suggest don't use stuff that's too harsh and use a rag/mit that won't scratch them.

i use eagle one chrome and wire cleaner the A formula and I just spray it on let it set for about a minute and rinse off, I started using this stuff on my snowmobile tunnel and the results were amazing so I am totally sold, but don't use on coated rims because it will eat the clear coat make sure it is the A formula i get mine at the local parts store not autozone

My Fatboy wheels ahve been very low maintenance. Soap and water only. Now spokes on a bagger are a different story altogether.

I'd stay away from Simply Green. That stuff is good to remove grease and sticky stuff from the floor. Do not let that stuff go into your wheel bearings it will eat the lubricant. I just use ProtectAll and it works great.

I've used Flitz on mine and they look great. I've also used mothers, eagle one nevr dull, and s100. I've only washed the bike with a hose once as once I found out how much time was involved, I balked. It looks just as good with weekly cleaning with these products, protect all, hondaline polish, pledge, whatever I fveel like using. The only time I got extreme amount of bugs on it was when I went to San Simeon. I used eagle one spray on and it worked great. Oh yeah, this thread was only about the wheels. Sorry,.
