1997 FXSTC exhaust question
Hey all, I would like to get rid of the cross bar on the stock 97 fxstc exhaust. I love this bike, I just like the looks of the exhaust on the newer ones that don't have the pipe connecting the two right across the middle of the motor. Any suggestions?

If you have access to a good welder, you can just cut it out, flatten out a piece of the crossover, and cut pieces out of that to weld in. My Son did that for me on my 84 Sportster. You could also cut it out and leave a little stub, and put a soft plug in it with a clamp. Best way is to weld it though.

As stated above, there are tons of options. Go to the dealer and see what is on bikes that pull up too. Odds are you can find one you like. Let em know when you decide and I will get you discounted forum pricing too.
