Yep, sold my 07 Road King Custom, just brought home a 2010 FXSTC, Merlot Sunglo / Cherry Red Sunglo custom color with profile laced front & rear wheels. Looks killer in the sun.
100 + degrees in Jersey, so not good for break-in riding now. But, the ride home was nice, really smooth ride. Love the big rear profile laced wheel with the 200 tire.
So, not going crazy but will need suggestions for:
1. Nice slip-ons, front pipes look like they are well designed.
2. Stage 1 or some simple tuner to keep it a little cooler.
But, you guys know better than me, so I'm open to your thoughts.
Congrats on the new ride....Welcome to the softail family. Exhaust is going to be a personal choice. But if it were me, I'd go for something besides a slip on. As far as the tuning device goes, the TTS Mastertune is the the best thing available right now.
I tried the Screamin' Eagle slip-ons for about 2 weeks, before getting my full exhaust put on. anything is certainly better than stock from a sound/resonance standpoint....
Congrats on the new ride. I'm like you. I kind of like the design on the stock header pipes. Sort of a two into one design. I went with Rush slip-ons and couldn't be happier. Like they said though, there are sure a lot of choices out there. Enjoy the ride.
