Default Heritage Bag Stiffeners

I'm contemplating putting Boss Bag Inc. stiffeners on my '09 Heritage. Does anyone have any experience (good or bad) regarding these stiffeners?

My choice was between doing it myself with gotsaggybags or sending them to Boss Bags. I chose Boss Bags because I didn't like the idea of gluing plastic to my bags. BBs uses rivets and they also install lock hasps which was a plus. Not knocking gotsaggybags as the reviews of their product as always positive.

Cons are they are overpriced imo especially when you tack on shipping. Cost me something like $65 to ship them UPS. Part of the reason was I used an oversized box. If you do ship them cram them in the smallest possible box and check different shipping methods.

I used the Saggy bags kit. I have a 2000 Heritage and the bags look great. I guess whatever you use that helps the bags keep their shape is a plus.

Good luck,

When I was at the Myrtle Beach Rally in 2008, Boss Bags had a tent and was doing saddle bags right there, so I had them do mine and watched. I thought they did a great job and I have certainly been happy with the job they did. They have held up well.

Mine have been great as well. BossBags does good work. Look at their web site www.bossbags.com and they might be at an event near you. You can save shipping that way. I sent mine to them and had them back in eight days.

+1 on the BOSS BAGS , you won't be sorry!!!!!!!!!! also have them put the longer and heavier straps on while they are at it. These are the bags off my 2002 that I had done by Boss Bags, I kept them when I traded for the 07 seen in the pic these bags have over 50,000 miles on them and still look great.

Looks like I'll be waiting for an event near me.

What do you guys use to keep the leather conditioned?

I use the leather conditioner that came with the bike when I bought it (07 Heritage off the floor). I only need to use it about twice a year and it keeps them looking like new. I'm pretty sure you can get some at the stealership

I see new Heritage models on showroom floors with the bags starting to sag. Why doesn't Harley fix this?
