Default installing fatboy tins on FXST front end

Is this possible? what would be needed to do this, or are the forks and trees completely different?

The fatboy front rim will fit right inside the FX front end. Had one on my 06 FXSTI untill I bought a fender from Sumax.

FL trees have tabs to screw the tins to that FX trees don't have. They used to make tins that worked on FX trees...but no ones sells them anymore so they must not have worked very well.

FLHS series bikes have a completely diff fron end (triple tree / beefier forks), back in the 90's it was a popoular conversion people were doing putting 16" fat tires on the front of FXST's. I never had a desire to do that as I like the skinny 21" look, but people said they liked the feel of the 16" on the front. My only concern would be the added weight to the less beefed up front end/forks on the FXST's.

I have a nice billet 21" skinny front tire, but Just don't like the forks.. .Like the beefier look of the Fatboy/Heritage front ends and want to get that look. If I changed out my trees only would there be any other problems that I'd have to look out for like difference in rake or anything?

AFAIK, the FXST is 2" over and a different rake then the bikes with 16" front wheel. They both had 41mm tubes.
You might need a fork brace.
