I tried to search a little but didn't find much, what is the difference in the fatboy triple trees and the FX triple trees. I was looking at JP cycle and when you order them they fit all 1949-2010 FL, FXWG and FXST equipped with 41mm forks. My main question is will the fatboy fork tins fit right on my FX front end?
I know FLH and FLT triple trees are different, but what about the Fatboy. I have never seen the FB without the fork tins to know the difference.
Quick comment: Your bike is killer! No question about it.
With that said, since you don't have fenders, doesn't your back get really dirty? I have fenders on my sled, but remember as a kid I took my bicycle fenders off and my backside was always dirty. Pissed my mom off someth'n fierce!
I didn't plan on keeping the rear fender off, but since the fender setup I wanted, in my opinion was junk, I have yet to decide on what I want. Believe me, I get a lot of strange looks, and asked the same question you asked.
I don't worry about front fender, and since it is not my main means of tranport I don't have to ride it everyday. I don't ride in the rain and avoid wet spots. I have only had the rear fender off for about two months, but have had the front fender off since day 3, and it only goes on to make the trip to Daytona.
