Question Changing the float needle on a CV carb

For those of you who have done this, any tricks or suggestions? Ive replaced everything on the carb except for that part and today when i started the bike for the second time gas poured out of the run off hose of the carb. Any suggestions are appreciated. Ted

The rod that hold the float on axis only comes out in one direction. There is a small indent on one end. You will need to clean out the bowl and check for wear on the needle tip. Replace it if in doubt.
