I know its been disscussed about how hard it is to find a Xbones rear whitewall tire. So my question is should i move to a smaller wheel and maybe go to a 180 rear? I really want to do both Whitewalls. I have my wheels ready for powdercoating and if im going to go to a 16 inch wheel i dont want to pay to repowdercoat the stock wheel. Any thoughts. Id hate to loose the 200mm tire but it is now a possibility
I understand that there is another company who actually makes any tire into a white wall through some proprietary process that adheres a white wall band to the tire. I will send you the link if I can find it again or do a forum search...in the General Chat section. It looks great but it makes the cost of a new rear tire pretty expensive given that the stock Bones rear tire already retails for almost $200. Given that I have gotten an average of 12k miles out of a rear tire (about a year's worth of riding for me) I decided that it was way too much money and inconvenience to keep having to order the specialty made tire. I would say in that case, if I HAD to have whitewalls I would go with the 180 if that is really an option for you.
Nice Cheese Ill give them a call. There isnt a whole lot of sidewall on the 17 inch tire thats another reason i was looking at going to a 16 inch wheel

Those mooneyes stay on pretty well? I really like the look and ease of install plus you can just remove them and put them on new tires. I think it would look pretty good with the way I have my bike set up. If I dont see any bad reviews im ordering some tonight.
