Default Windshield for Softail Heritage

I purchased a 2005 Softail Heritage with a Nachelle headlight with passing lights. Which windshield is best for this configuration? The HD dealer has the windshield for the heritage which they state will fit ($275.00). Then they have one for the Heritage with the Nachelle headlight (399.00). The 21 inch is clear and the shorter one is tinted. I prefer clear and shorter. Anyway, which windshield is the proper one. Is there a difference? I looked at the specs and both are the same width and height (comparing each shield at the same height). Help anyone?

My '04 Heritage has the nacelle and clear windshield. I'm not sure which one. It was on the bike new from the dealer. It was to tall for me as I don't like looking thru the windshield. I had it cut down some buy a guy at the shop.

the shield for the Nacelle has a larger cut-out for the headlight. the other one won't fit. if it's too tall, cut if down, or have a glass shop do it. there are several threads about cutting them.

Get the cheaper one and have it cut down. Have the dealer install it so you know it fits.

you tell him to buy the cheaper one, then pay the stealer an hour's shop rate for a 15 minute job. putting on a windshield is about the easiest mod you can do.

DO IT YOURSELF!!
