I scored a Nacelle for my Heritage yesterday. Was wondering if anyone know if the stock Heritage windshield will work with a Nacelle or do you have to have it cut or get something different? Don't run it all the time but I do sometimes... just kind of wanted to know.
btw... also scored hard bags and a baggertail yesterday. Can't wait to get them done.

I dont think it will fit without cutting the headlamp opening larger. When I got my fairing and windshield from Memphis Shades they said the difference between the softail and the road king fairings and shields was the width of the forks and the cutout size due to the nacelle.
In the summer I ride 100 miles round trip to work and back so due to the amount of friggin bugs we have around here it wouldn't be that great to walk in the office with a ton of bug splat on me. I prefer the windshield on that ride. Normally without though.
I bought the bags off of a guy here on the forums. I don't actually have them yet but they are touring hard bags. He had all the hardware with it also. They need to be painted yet to match my bike. I have a brother who is a bodyman/painter so he will be doing that for me.
I am using the cyclvision bagger tail for softails. I got mine off of ebay for a pretty decent price. About 40 dollars less anyway than thru cyclevision. Dr. Vtwin also sells them at a reduced rate. I didn't know they sold them until just yesterday so had I known I would have went thru them. Here is the link to the bagger tail though. http://www.cyclevisions.com/bag-moun...il-bag-mounts/
I am undecided about the filler panels. I was going to bolt it all up once I get everything and see what it looks like without first. If someone on the forum though has used them on their softy I would luv to see pics.
Here is the bagger tail kit which is the only secure way I know of to mount Harley hard bags to a softail. I bought a set of hard bags off a guy here as well. One had hardware, the other did not. They are at the painter right now and should be back next week hopefully. http://www.drvtwin.com/catalog_produ...product=876420
Put an ad in the Want To Buy section or peruse ebay and CL. I tried to find a set that was already painted the color I needed with the proper pin striping and that proved impossible. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/want-...ccessories-20/
I have calvary fiberglass brackets that I got off ebay new for a buck and a half, just put in multiple offers. Dont really know if there is that much of a difference between all the brands. Was making my own until I got these cheap. Good luck
