i also was far from home, i put the key fob on the bikes ignition lock so there was no issues with it not reading it. If the security fobs where the issue why would the comp reset itself and have the clock flashing. AND i tried to enter the mode where you can enter your personal code if you lose the fob and it wouldnt even let me enter it or enter that mode.

Sounds to me like your doing something wrong

well i do keep that wallet card describing how to enter your code incase you lose your fob on me.

Batteries can cause glitches occasionally, sounds like a randomn one off. Your buddy won't have helped. I know if someone screwed around with my bike like that he'd understand why that isn't cool ..

Did you get it fixed ? Manage to go through the lose key fob sequence successfully?

Got my bikes insured,don't want to mess with all that junk anymore.Someone wants to steal,it's covered.

ya its fine now, after is started like nothing was wrong it was and is okay, not even an error code to trigger an engine light. I guess and hope its a one off thing. I read in the manual to change your key fob battery once a year and keep it at least 3 inches away from any cell phone. Just passing the info along and yes i changed the battery to keep the signal strong as well as im going to keep the fob in a different pocket now.
