I would love to know more about the cut down the baffles option... Louder than with full baffle, but not quite the no baffle sound?? Without the baffles you lose more back pressure and HP, correct?
Well basically I took my baffles out, measured off 5 inches on the mounting bracket side. Had a friend of mine take it to his job to cut it down and then I just remounted them. This is what is left from the stock V&H baffles
From what I know when you run no baffle you lose back pressure in which you lose low end. I must say I do feel the difference between no baffle and "half baffled".
They also sound better with a half baffle than a full one, but not as good as no baffle. Here's a quick sound clip.(Half Baff)

I put V/H short shot stagerd on mine , tust right for me. Thay are loud if you want them to be.I took the baffles out just to see the diffrence,to loud, way to loud.Mine were 329 shipped to the door.
V&H BR on mine. Took the baffles out (not simple to do) and ran no baffles. Put in BCT originals and like the sound--95% as loud as no baffles, but slightly deeper tone.
If you plan to pull the stock baffles out of the BR, it is a fairly large PITA. Plan on copious amounts of PB Blaster and a slide hammer to extricate the baffle from the upper pipe. Lower pipe comes out easy. All in all, it was worth it though.
