Default Shimmy

I have hesitated asking the following question as I was not wanting a ton of "the bike is not made for that..." advice. I am willing to take it on the hopes there is a good solution out there.

I added an aftermarket fairing to my Deluxe and I love it. It did however, increase a front end shimmy I have while making moderate to high speed turns/curves (40-75mph). I have tried several things but still get a shimmy at times - worse some times, barley noticable at others. The front tire does have almost 17K on it but still "looks" good. I understand that the fairing does add some weight to the front end and assume this or the change in aerodynamics could be contributing.

Any thoughts on possible solutions would be appreciated - rants or "hatin" will also be accepted

a steering stabalizer will help..it is caused by wind hitting the fairing that is why dressers are deraked and the frame/neck is stretched out

I'd look at the spokes being trued up on both wheels first. Can really cause a wobble.

If none of the other things work and I include replacing the tire, (at 17K it could be cupped and still have tread), I'd cut a couple of 1 inch pieces of 3/4" pvc pipe. Use them to increase the pre-load on the forks. Harleys sag quite a bit on a good day. Add extra weight to the forks and you might need to add some pre-load.

My FLSTC has the stock screen and is as stable as can be at highway speeds but at low speeds like 25mph or less, it has developed a wobble where you can feel the bars having that back and forth pull.

That sounds like a tire problem IMO.
