During the winter months I am thinking about installing custom wheels on my Rocker-C. It is a lot of money and I am searching for price and service in addition to determining which wheels to purchase.
So I am looking for suggestions on wheels and supplier.
I am leaning toward the Renegade Aspen, RC Imposter, PMI Torque something with curved spokes.
Any input on retailer, warranty, and altermnate sizes would be greatly appreciated.
We have sold Renegade, RC Components, and Performance Machine wheels for years and they are all good quality wheels. If it was my bike I would lean more towards Renegade or Performance Machine because I like their designs a little more. The chrome warranty on most manufacturers like Renegade and Performance Machine is two years and RCC has the longest at 7 years. If you like curved spoke wheels also check out Rampage wheels because they have some really nice 3d curved wheels. Most guys with Rockers either go with a 19 x 2.15" or a 21 x 2.15" for the front and a 18 x 8.5" for the rear. You can go up to a Metzler 260mm or Avon 250 rear tire if you want on the 18 x 8.5" rear wheels. If you have any other questions just let me know.
I worked with Robert at Hogpro two years ago. Put Renegade wheels on my 08 Rocker C and Hogpro is the best. Next time I am looking for wheels I will call Robert again.
+1 on the guys over at SMT. Much cheaper than RC. They also have the Rocker spec so change out is a snap with existing spacers. I think my whole package for rims, rotors and pulley was in 2K range.
