Guys/Gals with FatBoys or Heritage's w/forward controls?

Can you post up pictures of your kickstands, especially installed in the "up" position?

I "test installed" my new kickstand tonight, it bolts through the forward controls into the frame, and I don't like the way it contacts the primary when in the "up" position.

Thanks much,

K.

Thanks,

It's the Arlen Ness telescopic kickstand (http://www.jpcycles.com/product/530-458). I don't have any pictures of it in the up position. I have air suspension, and if I ride with the air suspension bottomed out, the kickstand is the first thing to drag. That's the only thing I don't like about it, but again, that's only when the bike is completely slammed, so at that point, it doesn't take much to start rubbing stuff on either side. With the bike raised even just a little bit, I have plenty of clearance.

it is personal opinon, but ive rode all of them and i love the boards. Ill put up with the scraping on my lo to keep the boards. to versatile, lets me streach out. plus they just look cool.

To each his own, my decision was purely based on comfort!

I have two friends with FatBoys and one has boards and the other forwards, I personaly like the pegs as I can't get used to the boards.

Where's the choice for "forward controls belong on a Harley, mid controls belong on a Honda and foot boards belong on your father's electra glide?"

I am too short to use forwards on my fatboy, barely reach the brake.
(28 inch inseam) however I do have them on my sportie..

As someone mentioned ,it does limit you as to moving around during long rides..
kept my butt in the same position , I put the midpegs back on the sporty .
Just the pegs, (still have forward controls)
also have solo seat and kept passenger pegs on bike ..
with three sets of pegs , that vibrating solid mounted 1200 can be ridden for miles, and miles..switch to various positions.
I voted dont care , you set up your bike , I will set up mine (all is good)
just a thought to consider
