I have some mild wobble on my 2010 Fat Boy Lo between 40-50 MPH. I run my tire pressure at 40/40. I took it to the dealer today and they said it may be the front bearings (RACE bearings?). They said that if this is the case it is not covered under the warranty! I only have 3200 miles on the bike. Does this sound right? They said the bearings have probably seated and need to be tightened. I would expect this to be covered by my warranty. It will cost around $120 to have the dealer fix it. I am waiting on their call to say if that is the problem or not but I dont want to pay for something I dont have to. Any advise?
Sounds like the neck bearings need adjusted.Supposed to be part of the1000 mile service. If the dealer did your 1000 mile service, then they didn't check the fall away and should do it for free.Same thing happened to me.They took care of it,no charge.
they replaced the front wheel (took 4 days to get the wheel in, so I was rocking a chrome loaner one)... when they got the new wheel, they swapped it.. still shimmied...
Turns out it was the rubber... new tire, and I was back on the road.. rolls smooth now.
It's the neck bearing. my dealer did mine once and I jst finished doing my 5k and they needed it again. don't let the dealer BS you, that should be a Warranty issue. I wouldn't pay a nickle. . . . . and they can do it while you wait. takes maybe 20-30 minutes.....

JMHO
That's it. They bearing races don't seated all the way during manufacturing. As you hit bumps the races seat in deeper and the bearings then are too loose. It's very easy to do yourself. With that being said, the dealer should take care of it under warranty.
I had the exact same problem...took it in for the 1000 mi check up and had it fixed. It was the "Fall away" adjustment, a common problem according to the tech.
