The one you have is it low profile and don't look like a bowling ball on the head? I wouldn't care to wear a DOT helmet if I can find a low profile one .

It is not super low like a non DOT low profile is going to be due to the padding. But for a DOT helmet it is not all that bad. Best thing to do with any helmet is to try it on before purchase as all makes and models are not sized the same. Some makes a medium fit me better and some makes a large fit me better.
I figure I will go with the GMAX 55 I seen some video on YouTube last night and they say that the GMAX 55 is about the lowest profile DOT helmet on the market.
