Default Wobble In Front End

So as I am coming in from my ride this morning I was doing between 30-35MPH and I let go of my bars to adjust my glasses and the front end started to wobble. Did it a couple more times. What might that be?

I've seen loose spokes cause this. Drag your finger backwards over them so your fingernail hits them and see if they are all in tune. If you hit a loose one you will know.

Might need some grease in the neck, mine was doing this a little before the 10K maintenance when they slopped it up again. Went away completely after that

good luck.

Mines caused by my sidecar wheel; extra drag. But yours, could be caused by, cupped front tire or neck bearings that are to loose. Better have someone check it out because it can get real violent.

I just checked the spokes. Although they feel tight, a few of them do sound a little out of tune. I had her in about 4 months ago for a 30,000 check up. Front tire is almost new. Maybe those bearings................thanks guys.

Has the bike been in a wreck? Could be bent tubes or bad bearings or front end is out of alignment. Have you checked to make sure yous fork oil is level in both tubes? If they are not level, you could get wobble, but you usually only notice this while in a corner. Was your last front tire cupped?
You might check that your front wheel has no side to side play due to bad bearings. And finally, check and make sure your neck bearings are not bad, or more importantly, that your neck stem nuts are properly tightened and not loose. That is more than likely the culprit from your discription of the problem.

Wheel weight not likely to cause a front end wobble. Usually it will be a bouncy front end if your wheel weight is missing or off weight.

Bike has never been wrecked. Good other things to check. I will do that. Thanks.

I would check the handlebar bearing might be loose and look it up in the archives because I have seen a piece on that like last winter or this spring and it was the exact same problem and it tells how to do it .
